 "description": "This data set contains the Wells that are issued licences by the AER, giving the Licensee approval to construct and operate a well. These wells are being represented by their surface hole location. A Well is defined as a hole drilled by the bit, usually performed during a single drilling operation. AER regulations defines a well as an orifice in the ground completed or being drilled for the production of oil or gas, for injection to an underground formation, as an evaluation well or test hole, or to or at a depth of more than 150 metres, for any purpose, but does not include one to discover or evaluate a solid organic mineral and that does not or will not penetrate a stratum capable of containing a pool or oil sands deposit.",
